The Austin Area Women’s Golf Association (AAWGA) promotes women’s golf in the Austin area and provides events that allow women throughout the area to meet and enjoy the fellowship of golf.  AAWGA typically plays on the 4th week of the month from March through October.  The season begins with a 2-day Eclectic tournament.  The AAWGA Championship 2-day tournament is held in September.

How To Become a Member
There are two ways to become an AAWGA member:

 1.  Join AAWGA through a participating club; dues are $20/year; $1 of the dues goes towards a Hole-In-One pot.

Participating clubs: Balcones Country Club, Barton Creek Country Club, Berry Creek Country Club, Great Hills Country Club, Grey Rock Golf Club, Lakeway Country Club, Magnolia, Sun City, The Hills of Lakeway, Twin Creeks Country Club and UT Golf Club.

2.  Join the At Large group; dues are $21/year; $1 of the dues goes towards a Hole-In-One pot.

How A Club Can Participate
If your club would like to join AAWGA, the cost is $25/year for the club to join.  If your club is interested in joining, contact the AAWGA President for additional details.

Tournament/Play Days Information
AAWGA organizes one event each month March through October.  AAWGA Tournaments/Play Days are flighted by handicap.  Each player must have a handicap index through GHIN or their club.  Tournaments/Play Days will have gross and net winners in each flight.

April 14 (Mon): PlayDay at Balcones Country Club

May 19 (Mon): PlayDay at Twin Creeks Country Club

June 19 (Thur): PlayDay at Grey Rock Golf Club

July 17 (Thur): PlayDay at Great Hills Country Club

Aug 26 (Tues): PlayDay at UT Golf Club

Sept 24-25 (Wed-Thur): 2-Day Championship at Morris Williams Golf Club

October 23 (Thur): PlayDay at Forest Creek Golf Club

Championship Requirements
Any AAWGA member wanting to compete in the AAWGA Championship must have turned in to the GHIN system or their Pro Shop at least 3 rounds prior to the Championship deadline in the year they wish to compete.

Players also must play a minimum of one (1) AAWGA play day/tournament between March-August of the Championship year to be eligible for the Championship.

Inner-Club Competition

There is an Inner-Club Competition (ICC) throughout the year.  The lowest 2 Gross & lowest 2 Net scores from each Club are collected each event and totaled at the end of the year.  The Clubs with the lowest total Gross and Net win our ICC for the year and get their name added to a plaque.
