AAWGA Vice President
By Laws Article V. Sec. 2: The Vice President may preside over any meeting in the event of the absence or disability of the President.
The administration of the two-day Eclectic Tournament and the AAWGA Championship Tournament is the responsibility of the Vice President. The Vice President has the duty of appointing a Tournament Chairman for each of these events. In the absence of such an appointment, the Vice President shall serve in this capacity. If a Tournament Chairman is appointed, she may serve on the Executive Committee at its discretion.
The Vice President shall purchase a gift for the outgoing President in the amount prescribed in the current budget to be presented at the final meeting in November.
As specified in the Significant Rulings date November 8, 1983, and again November 16, 1984, the Board approved a motion the “Vice President moves up to become President”.
The Vice President shall be responsible for maintaining a spreadsheet for monthly play day winners including all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gross and Net winners. (As specified in the Significant Rulings date 1/24/2019, logo balls will no longer be awarded. Cash will be awarded for winning at AAWGA Play Day.) The spreadsheet will be created to record the accumulated winning amount by each player. The Vice President will request a check from the Treasurer for the total amount to be awarded to the players. The Vice President shall be responsible for distributing cash winnings to all players at the final event of the year. (By-Laws change 1/27/22)
Prepare a year-end report with suggestions for the President and present the report at or before the final meeting of the year.
